Devising new ideas & Collaboration
Research and Development
At Romo, the focus is on ink and material compatibility. We continually improve our inks to make our products more durable. Customers have challenged us to develop better applications, like graphics that can endure 3000 commercial wash cycles, or a 10-year salt-water/UV soak. We've developed durable graphics that add functionality to our customers' products utilizing technology like RFID & NFC chips. We welcome new ideas and opportunities to create better products.
Each construction we produce is tested in an advanced accelerated weather testing chamber to simulate aging in an outdoor environment with rain, UV exposure, and heat. We can simulate long-term outdoor performance in a matter of weeks. For engineered products, a sampling from each lot is tested for a number of variables including ink adhesion, solvent/cleaner/abrasion resistance, and both water and heat aging.
Our Commitment to Quality
Romo has been ISO 9001:2000 certified since 2004, and we updated our certification to ISO 9001:2015 in 2018. This quality management system (QMS) applies to all processes throughout the manufacturing and printing process. Download a copy of our ISO certificate.
We pride ourselves on continually testing to customer specifications throughout the print process. This is one way we work with you to engineer products that perform.
Benefits of Quality Management:
Our failure mode effects analysis process during the product design phase minimizes design risk and, ultimately, failure in the field.
Continuous improvement programs result in low defective parts per million counts, and shorter lead times.
Our lot certification process ensures product performance is consistent with customer specifications.
Vendor managed inventory programs minimize obsolete inventory.
